Tyre and pallet fire spreads to garage in Maltby
A GARAGE fire in Maltby was tackled by firefighters after spreading from a blaze involving tyres and pallets.
Firefighters from Maltby, Edlington and Aston Park were called to Highfield Park, Maltby, just before 10.30pm.
A spokesperson from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that on arrival, the crews had found that a number of tyres and pallets on fire had spread to a nearby garage – resulting in "well developed" blaze.
The fire crews spent more than an hour at the scen of the blaze, which is thought to have been started deliberately.
