Two teenagers seriously hurt after Dearne Valley Parkway crash

TWO teenagers were seriously hurt in a two-car crash.

Police have launched an appeal following the collision on the Dearne Valley Parkway at 6.10pm on Saturday, June 16, which involved a blue Peugot 206 and silver Mercedes Vito minibus.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 17-year-old boy, and passenger, a 16-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries in the collision and were taken to hospital, police said.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 60-year-old man, and three passengers sustained minor injuries.

The accident happened on the stretch between the Wath Road and Cathill roundabouts.

A spokeswoman said: “An investigation is ongoing and police officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the collision, or was driving in the area at the time.”
