Two small animals killed after burglary at Dinnington college campus

A BURGLARY incident at the Dinnington college campus earlier this week has resulted in the death of two small animals. 

Police received a call at 7.45am on Monday of reports of a burglary at the Rotherham College Campus on Doe Quarry Lane in Dinnington. 

A number of outbuildings had been damaged and animals had been released from their cages, said a police spokeswoman. 

A spokeswoman from Rotherham College said: "We can confirm that on Sunday, (May 3), two small animals at Rotherham College's Dinnington Campus were sadly killed. 

"The animals were housed in an enclosure on the grounds that had been accessed and unfortunately this sad event occurred. The police are dealing with the matter."

The police spokeswoman added that nothing was believed to had been stolen and enquiries are underway.
