Two seriously injured in Parkgate car and bus crash

The 46-year-old man was still receiving treatment in hospital yesterday, South Yorkshire Police said.

The bus driver, a 60-year-old man, also suffered serious injuries in the incident between a blue Fiat Sedici and a single-decker service.

Three fire crews — from Rotherham, Dearne and Maltby stations — spent over an hour at the scene.

Police appealed for witnesses to the collision on Rotherham Road just after 8pm on Sunday, or anyone who has dash-cam footage of the vehicles, to come forward.
