Two more arrests in Mexborough murder probe

A 20-year-old man and 16-year-old boy, both from the Doncaster area, are in police custody this evening (Tuesday).

A 17-year-old boy arrested in the early hours, also on suspicion of murder, remains in custody too.

Emergency services were called to Wath Road at 4.26pm yesterday, where the shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact 101 quoting incident number 495 of January 11, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or submit information via crimestoppers-uk.org.”
