Two men charged over stealing £15,000 worth of cigarettes from Maltby Tesco

TWO men have been charged with burglary after cigarettes worth around £15,000 were stolen from a Maltby supermarket .

Kane Murray (22), of Lincoln Street, Maltby, and Gerard Langton (41), Fir Walk, Maltby, did not enter any pleas when they appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

The men have been remanded into custody and will next appear at Sheffield Crown Court on February 18. 

The Tesco store in High Street was burgled on Friday at 4.27am and it is believed the suspects gained entry through the roof, said a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police.
