Two men charged over death of Sheffield man Danny Irons - Rotherham man bailed

TWO men appeared in court today charged with the murder of Sheffield man Danny Irons - but an arrested man from Rotherham has been released under investigation.

Daniel Chadwick of Melville Drive, Sheffield, and Ross Turton of Daneswood Avenue, also in Sheffield, have both been charged with Mr Irons' murder and remanded in custody.

A 24-year-old Rotherham man and a 28-year-old man from Sheffield were both previously arrested in connection with Mr Irons' death - but both have been released under investigation, a police spokeswoman added.

Emergency services called to Fretson Green, in the Manor area of Sheffield, last Saturday found Mr Irons (pictured) had been stabbed.

He died at the scene and a postmortem examination confirmed the stab wound was the cause of death.
