Two men charged after £32,000 drugs haul recovered in Swinton

COCAINE and heroin worth £32,000 was found after a drugs raid in Swinton - and two men have since been charged.

Police officers from Rotherham, alongside South Yorkshire Police's Tactical Support Group (TSG), carried out a warrant on Church Street on Monday, November 30. 

The pre-planned activity, carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act, led to the discovery of £32,000 worth of suspected crack cocaine and heroin, said a police spokeswoman.

"Two men, aged 61 and 31, were arrested in connection with the find and have since been charged with drugs trafficking offences," she added. 

Terrence Hughes and Anthony Hughes, both of Church Street, were charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine.

The pair will next appear before court on January 6, 2021.
