Two men arrested after three-car collision in Laughton

TWO suspected car thieves are in police custody following a collision on a major road in Laughton this morning (Friday).

The two men, who are both 35 and from Rotherham, were arrested after the crash at 5.15am on Laughton Common Road, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

The collision involved three cars - a Ford Fiesta, VW Passat and Ford Tranist panel van, she added.

No-one was seriously injured in the crash.

One of the men was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

The other man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and failing to stop.

Both remained in police custody this afternoon, she added.
