TWO men were killed after the car they were travelling in crashed into a bridge in Maltby.
A red Citroen C1 was travelling along the A631 Tickhill Road towards Tickhill at around 8.40pm on Friday when its driver failed to negotiate a right-hand bend.
The car then mounted the pavement and crashed into a bridge parapet.
The driver — a 40-year-old man — and a 27-year-old man who was a passenger in the car — were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe there were a number of people at the scene who saw the crash and officers want to speak to them.
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 1136 of October 6.
