Two hurt in car smash

TWO teenagers were injured when their car crossed a carriageway and hit streetlights and a wall.

The driver, an 18-year-old from Whiston, had slight whiplash after the crash on Broom Road, Herringthorpe.

His passenger, a 15-year-old boy also from Whiston, suffered a serious neck injury and was treated at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Any witnesses to the crash, at 11.30pm on Saturday (19), is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 1187 of May 19.
