Two held after Rotherham man stabbed to death

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a fatal stabbing on Saturday night.

Three other men have been detained on suspicion of aggravated burglary after the incident in Brinsworth.

Police were called to a disturbance on Godric Drive shortly before 10pm. It later emerged a 40-year-old local man had been injured.

He was found on a nearby street and taken to Rotherham General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11.24pm.

Detectives are questioning two men in their 20s about the suspected murder and three men—two of whom are aged 18 and 19—about the suspected burglary.
