Two Goldthorpe blazes over the long weekend

FIREFIGHTERS were called to suspected arson incidents in Goldthorpe over the bank holiday weekend.

One crew from Dearne station was sent to Lesley Road at 3.30am on Monday, when a Volvo car was alight.

They left the scene of the fire, which is thought to be deliberate, at around 4am.

A crew from Dearne station also attended Cooperative Street at 5.30am today (Tuesday).

There they tackled a blaze in a brick outhouse, leaving the scene at 6.23am.

The fire was also recorded as deliberate.
