Two due in court accused of Conisbrough shootings

TWO people are due in court this morning (Wednesday) charged with attempted murder in connection with shootings in Conisbrough in November.

Joe Roberts (20) and Nicola Butler (44), both of Windmill Avenue, Conisbrough, will appear at Sheffield Crown Court in connection with shootings in the town between November 7 and 9.

Police were called to reports of firearms discharges in the Park Road, Daylands Avenue, and March Vale Rise areas of Conisbrough.

Roberts is charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, arson with intent to endanger life, and violent disorder.

Butler is charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A man (19) suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident on Daylands Avenue, a police spokeswoman said.

Two men (22 and 47) suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident on March Vale Rise, she added.
