Two charged after attack on Rotherham Council officer

The environment officer (45) was attending a property at John Street when the attack took place.

The offenders are said to have demanded money from the man before assaulting him at 5pm on Monday.

Alex Winn (21), of Grange Road, and Vaughan Parker (22), of Psalters Lane, have been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

The pair are expected to appear before magistrates in Sheffield later today (Wednesday).
