The trio were arrested yesterday (Wednesday) following warrants being executed at addresses in Doncaster.

The arrests were in connection with an incident last Wednesday at a house on Athelstane Road, Conisbrough, at 3am.

Three men believed to be carrying guns forced their way into the house and assaulted a man. Police said two shots were fired inside the house and the offenders fled from the scene.

Det Sgt Lee Wilson said: “Following the assault, detectives quickly identified a number of lines of enquiry which lead to the identification of the three suspects who were arrested on Wednesday.

“The warrants were executed with the aim of disrupting organised crime and to send a message to those involved that we will find them and bring them to justice.

"The victim of this assault was at home where he should have felt safe and secure. These men subjected him to a terrifying ordeal and will now face the consequences.”

The men have been released under investigation as detectives continue their enquiries.
