Two arrested after Clifton teen assault

TWO 16-year-olds have been arrested following an assault on a teenage boy.

Detectives investigating the attack on the 14-year-old in Rotherham are still appealing for a witness they believe could hold vital information.

The teenager was walking home from school along Middle Lane South, Clifton, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, October 18, when he was assaulted.

He suffered serious facial injuries.

Now, two 16-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and are keen to trace a woman who stopped her car to help the victim after the assault.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 311 of October 23.
