Trio receiving treatment for Rotherham United plus what Derby County boss Wayne Rooney thought of the Millers

Wing-back Wes Harding, captain Richard Wood and scorer Jamie Lindsay all picked up knocks in Saturday's 1-0 triumph at Derby County.

Manager Warne is expecting the trio to be available for the Potters contest where a victory would lift his side out of the drop zone.

"Wes is a bit sore and Woody is a bit sore," said the boss after watching his team bag an 87th-minute weekend winner.

"Jamie Lindsay got a dead leg in the first half but he doesn't really feel pain. He is a bit of a Braveheart.

"They can all have a day in bed on Sunday and I'll see them on Monday. I don't think any of them are serious.

"Wes just took a whack, Woody always has something but is always okay and I can't see Jamie being a problem. He finished the game and if you stay on the pitch you are okay."

Rotherham, who leapfrogged the Rams into 22nd place, are in the bottom three only on goal difference and have at least two games in hand on all the teams above them.

Centre-half Clark Robertson came on as a late substitute against Derby for his first action since October and another of the Millers' five long-term injured players, Shaun MacDonald, also made the squad.

Wingers Chiedozie Ogbene and Kieran Sadlier are due to return to full training a week tomorrow, leaving only left-back Joe Mattock on the sidelines.

"It's nice having Robbo back," Warne said. "We had Shauny Mac as well and I was tempted to put him on, but he is not physically in that place yet. He might be by Tuesday night.

"I politely brought him to Derby as a cheerleader. He is a brilliant pro and he gives the squad a real boost.

"Next week we have Kieran and Chieo back as well. It's a good time for the club, Having those players back is a massive boost. With 25 games left, we just have to keep going."

Meanwhile, rival manager Wayne Rooney has admitted Rotherham were worthy of their win at Pride Park.

The former England and Manchester United striker had retired from playing on the eve of the contest to become permanent Rams manager following a spell in interim charge.

"We know we can play better than we did," he said. "I don’t think we even deserved a point.

"We gave silly free-kicks away in dangerous areas and that’s what Rotherham were looking for as it’s a big part of their game. Those free-kicks allowed them to send defenders up and cause issues.

"Rotherham outfought us. Our quality on the ball and our concentration levels weren't where they should be."
