Tributes to Masbrough man killed in Ravenfield collision

Gavin Anthony Roberts (26), of Masbrough, was riding a yellow Suzuki motorbike on Hollings Lane, Ravenfield, in the direction of Thrybergh, when it was in collision with a black BMW travelling in the opposite direction.

Mr Roberts was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

One tribute left at the scene read: “The angels are watching over you. God bless. So sad that you have gone.”

An inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday.

The 24-year-old driver of the BMW, a woman from Rotherham, was not injured.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 4.15pm last Thursday.
