Trial date set for Lewis Williams murder accused

A TRIAL date has been set for four defendants accused of the murder of Swinton man Lewis Williams.

Jack Parkes (20), of Arnold Crescent, Doncaster; Ryan Nisbet (20), of Springwood Road, Barnsley; and two boys, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court today (Monday) charged with murder.

They are due to enter pleas at a hearing on April 16 and a trial, scheduled to last three weeks, will begin on September 6.

All four defendants were remanded in custody.

Mr Williams died on Wath Road, Mexborough, on the afternoon of January 11.
