Traffic rerouted for water main repairs

TRAFFIC was being diverted in Maltby today as workmen repaired a burst water main. Yorkshire Water Services started work outside 79 High Street at 9.30am and the road was closed at the Queens crossroads.

Yorkshire Water Services started work outside 79 High Street at 9.30am and the road was closed at the Queens crossroads.

Traffic heading into Rotherham was being diverted along Muglet Lane, Blyth Road and Millindale and back onto High Street.

Traffic travelling east along High Street was unaffected.

It is hoped that the work will be finished by tonight, but motorists are warned that it may run over into tomorrow morning.
