SINGER Toyah Willcox is to return to Rotherham next week to host a mass concert featuring 1,500 children.
The 80s star will once again compere the Rotherham Children’s Festival singing celebration One Voice at the New York Stadium on Friday.
Last year, Toyah was in charge when almost 1,200 children, and many more spectators, filled the stadium and this year’s singing spectacular will see her joining 1,500 children from 42 schools singing a programme of popular songs.
Festival organiser Fiona Radford said: “We are so lucky to have Toyah back. “She will be singing two songs specifically arranged for this event with the children.
“Through her passion for music and dedication to engaging children and young people in music, Toyah brings a real magic to the celebration.”
The One Voice event is open to everyone. Tickets priced at £5 are available for the celebration from New York Stadium at http://www.rotherhamunitedshop.co.uk/events.aspx.
