Town joins World Book Day celebrations

CHILDREN around Rotherham celebrated their love of reading by dressing up as book characters to mark World Book Day.

Schools and libraries around town put on events to mark the annual festival of reading, which is now in its 11th year.

Pictured here are children at the Arnold Centre, from left to right, Darcie Ellinger, Corey-Lee Ormiston and Clayton-James Bell, with deputy head Vicki Dawson.

Pick up a copy of this week’s Rotherham Record or tomorrow’s Rotherham Advertiser for more photos from the day.
