Town centre road closed due to burst water main

Westgate has been closed off while Yorkshire Water attend the site to fix the problem, a spokeswoman for Rotherham Borough Council said.

The burst water main damaged the carriageway and footway.

An update from Yorkshire Water said its team were still working hard on the repair as of 12.45pm.

It said Corporation Street had no water but other customers should have had their supplies restored.
