Tough-guy Mark sets new car-carrying record

STRONGMAN Mark Anglesea has succeeded in his bid to set a new world record for carrying a car.

The former Britain's Strongest Man contestant lugged a 350kg Daihatsu hatchback more than 407 metres on the track at Herringthorpe Stadium to break the existing record by seven metres.

Pupils and parents from Whiston School, where Mark's daughters Morgan (10) and Drew (8) attend, turned up to cheer Mark on.
