Titans sign Welsh prop

TITANS have completed their squad by signing highly-rated Llanelli front rower Simon Gardiner.

The 22-year-old was released by the Welsh giants last year after suffering a knee injury last November and Rotherham were quick to step in.

It takes the number of props at the club to a meaty six and Gardiner, once brought up to full fitness, is expected to pump up the power.

An English-qualified player, he has represented Wales at U20 level and played 34 times for the Scarlets.

Said Titans heach coach Andre Bester: “We wanted six props and when we knew he was available we moved in quickly. He played against us last year in the British and Irish Cup and was very impressive."
