Time to get your hands dirty!
CONSERVATION volunteers can get their hands dirty to help nature this week (April 9).
Blackburn Meadows nature reserve on Steel Street in Masbrough, which is run by the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust, is hosting a volunteer work day on April 9 from 10am to 3pm.
The work can include tasks such as footpath improvement and habitat management and gloves, tools and refreshments are provided.
Volunteer work days are held at the reserve on the second Thursday of each month.
Volunteers should meet at the end of Steel Street, which can be reached from junction 34 of the M1 motorway.
The event is free.
