Thrybergh road shut after reported shooting

Officers were called to the area at 9.20am following reports of a man being taken to hospital with suspected gunshot injuries.

He was described as being in a serious condition, said a police spokeswoman. 

"Park Lane in Thrybergh has been closed by police to allow for initial enquiries to take place," she added. 

An investigation is under way and in its early stages.
