Three people arrested over Rawmarsh off-licence 'altercation'

THREE people were arrested following an altercation in an off-licence which left a man in hospital.

Police were called to Rawmarsh Hill at around 9.20pm on Sunday following reports of a disturbance between three men and a woman.

A 25-year-old Rawmarsh man, who suffered a chest wound, was taken to hospital where he has since been released.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said a 31-year-old Sheffield man, who suffered a minor cut to the head, was arrested on suspicion of wounding. 

A 23-year-old Rawmarsh woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and a 32-year-old Rawmarsh man was arrested on suspicion of affray, he added.

All three have been released under investigation.

Rawmarsh Hill was closed to the junction of Westfield Road while officers carried out enquiries.
