Three overnight arson attacks in Denaby

ARSONISTS struck three times in one village overnight - torching grass, rubbish and a wheelie bin.

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to a deliberate grass fire on Eland Road at 8.25pm last night (Thursday), leaving the scene at 8.50pm, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

A crew Edlington station attended a deliberate rubbish fire on Doncaster Road at 10.40pm and left the scene at 11pm, she added.

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to a wheelie bin fire on Ravenscar Close at 3.30am this morning (Friday) and left the scene at 3.50am.
