Three more arrests in Rotherham child sex abuse probe

TWO men and a woman have been charged by police over child sex offences as part of an operation which has now seen 19 people arrested.

Qurban Ali (52), has been charged with indecent assault, rape and procuring a child to have unlawful sexual intercourse with another.

Karen MacGregor (58), has been charged with conspiring to procure a child to become a common prostitute and unlawful imprisonment.

MacGregor and Ali are also jointly charged with conspiracy to rape.

Majid Ali Bostan (37) has been charged with indecent assault.

They have been bailed to appear before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court next Tuesday.

Arshid Hussain (40) who has previously been charged with 45 offences relating to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham, has also been jointly charged with conspiracy to rape.

He failed to attend court last week but was bailed until next Tuesday.

All four were arrested as part of Operation Clover, a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police in partnership with Rotherham Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.
