SEVERAL people were injured in two traffic collisions just ten minutes apart last night, though none seriously.
Emergency services were called to Ryton Road, Anston at 8.20pm, where a black Nissan Navara and a blue Citroen C3 had collided.
Drivers and passengers in both cars sustained minor injuries as a result, a South Yorkshire police spokeswoman said.
Ryton Road was closed for a short time after the incident, she added.
Another crash occurred just four miles away, on Worksop Road, South Anston, just ten minutes later.
Firefighters from Aston station attended the scene for around 50 minutes, a South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokeswoman added that one car was on fire when a fast response vehicle arrived.
A clinician checked over all parties, but none had to be conveyed to hospital.
