Three injured after car hits tree at Warmsworth

POLICE appealed for information after three people needed hospital treatment when a car hit a tree.

Another passenger might have left the Warmsworth scene before officers arrive, the force said.

A VW Golf estate was travelling along Mill Lane towards Sprotbrough when it left the road shortly after 6.30pm on Friday (22).

It hit a tree, causing extensive damage to the front of the vehicle.

A police spokesperson said on Saturday: “A 22-year-old man suffered multiple injuries including a broken pelvis, and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

“Two other men, aged 28 and 32, who suffered facial injuries are now recovering at home.

“Officers believe that there may have been a fourth person in the car and are appealing to anyone who may have information about the collision to come forward. 

“They are also interested in hearing from anyone who has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.”
