Three fires involving fields and scrubland

THERE were two accidental fires involving greenery — and a deliberate one — yesterday evening (Wednesday).

Cudworth station firefighters went to a deliberate blaze on scrubland at Bradberry Balk Lane in Wombwell at 7.20pm.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended an accidental fire involving brambles and grassland at Peashill Street in Rawmarsh at 8.05pm.

And Dearne firefighters were called out to an accidental field fire on Oak Road in Wath shortly before 8.30pm.
