THREE fire crews tackled a deliberate fire at a Kimberworth Park flat yesterday (Monday).
The blaze broke out in the ground-floor flat in a two-storey house in Beevers Road at 9.20am.
A fire service spokesman said the fire was contained to the living room and caused damage to furniture.
No-one was in the flat at the time, he added.
Crews from Elm Lane, Tankersley and Dearne stations left the scene at 10.37am.
There were two further arson strikes yesterday.
Rubbish was torched on wasteland in Gray Avenue, Swallownest, at 9.42pm and a bin was set on fire in Hatherley Road, Eastwood, at 11.42pm.
Both fires were brought under control within ten minutes
On Saturday, a car was also set on fire in Hawkhill Lane, Thurcroft, at 11.58pm and a barbecue fire spread to a tree and shed in Osbert Road, Moorgate, at 6.20pm.
