Three cars damaged in Masbrough arson attack

THREE cars were damaged in one street after an arson attack in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday)

A Vauxhall Astra, Mercedes E-type and Ford Mondeo parked on St John’s Avenue, Masbrough, were alight when a fire crew attended the scene at 3.30am.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the cause of the fire was “deliberate”.

He added: “It appears to have started in one of the vehicles and spread to the others nearby.”

The fire crew spent half an hour at the scene.
