Three burglars flee school as police arrive at scene

THREE burglars were seen by police running away from a school last night after ransacking rooms and stealing money.

Police were called to Brinsworth Academy at around 8pm yesterday (Sunday) after the alarm was activated.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene, three men, all wearing dark clothing and hooded tops, were seen running from the building towards the main gates on Brinsworth Road.

“Officers found that a door had been forced to gain entry and several rooms ransacked and an amount of cash taken.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 985 of November 26.
