Three arson attacks on grassland in an hour

FIREFIGHTERS dealt with three grassland arson attacks in just over an hour last night (Tuesday).

The first was on Dearne Road, Manvers, at 7.10pm and a crew from Dearne station was at the scene for two hours.

The second deliberate blaze was started on Warren Vale, Rawmarsh, at 7.30pm and was brought under control in 30 minutes.

Bush land on Hard Lane, Kiveton Park, was set on fire at 8.25pm. A crew from Aston station was at the scene until 9.05pm.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said all three blazes were started deliberately.
