Three arrested as armed police attend Conisbrough incident

ARMED response officers were sent to Conisbrough after reports of two men in possession of firearms.

Police attended Church Street at 12.09pm today (Monday) and arrested three people on suspicion of firearms offences.

They remain in custody this afternoon.

As part of enquiries related to the incident, officers were also deployed to search an address on Windmill Avenue, Conisbrough.

“There is no wider risk to the public at this time,” said a police spokeswoman.

“You may see an enhanced police presence in Conisbrough whilst officers carry out further enquiries.”
