Three arrested after disturbance in Rotherham Town Centre pub

POLICE arrested three people on suspicion of assault after a disturbance at a town centre pub on Saturday.

Inspector Abdul Aziz said there had been "an excellent response" by police in Rotherham to an incident at The County pub on Bridgegate on Saturday night.

He said three people had been arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokesman for The County said management had made the decision to close the pub on Saturday night and it had re-opened the following day as normal. 

He said the pub was co-operating with the police investigation.
