Three adults and a child taken to hospital after police pursuit ends in Greasbrough collision

TWO women, a man and a toddler were taken to hospital after a car being chased by police collided with two vehicles in Greasbrough.

Prior to the collision, police officers had been pursuing the VW Golf from Rotherham town centre after it failed to stop on Saturday (June 15) at 3.15pm. 

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said the Golf collided with a blue Audi A3 and a Vauxhall Corsa on Potter Hill.

"As a result of the collision, a 35-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman, a 56-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl were taken to hospital as a precaution and their injuries are not believed to be serious," the spokeswoman added. 

"The driver of the Golf fled the scene and enquiries are ongoing to try to identify them."
