Third man charged after teen stabbed on Wellgate

A THIRD man has been charged by police investigating last week’s stabbing of a teenager on Wellgate.

Darren Fletcher (24), of Beck Road in Sheffield, was charged the assault, racially aggravated damage and dangerous driving.

A 19-year-old man driving a black Audi A3 was punched in the face and stabbed in his back during the incident last Wednesday.

A police spokesman said: “The windscreen was then allegedly smashed and racist comments made towards the occupants of the car.”

Fletcher was also charged with threats to commit damage in connection with an incident in Shiregreen, Sheffield, later the same day.

Two other Sheffield men — Aaron Casey (24), of Deerlands Avenue, and Louis Barker (26), of North Hill Road — were remanded in custody after appearing before magistrates on Friday.
