Thieves target Wath market and ice cream parlour

THIEVES broke into Wath’s indoor market via the roof in one of two burglaries on the same night.

Police said money was taken from a charity box and till during the break-in at the market, in Montgomery Square, overnight on Friday, August 11.

Pastures Moo ice cream parlour, on Church Street, was also broken into on the same night.

Nothing was taken but police are treating the two incidents as linked and asked for anyone with any information to get in touch.
