Thieves steal mountain bikes worth £11,000

STAFF at a cycle shop are desperate for information about a burglary in which three bikes worth over £11,000 were stolen.

Raiders struck JE James Cycles, on Erskine Road in Eastwood, at around 2.30am on Saturday (28).

They forced roller shutters and smashed a glass door, before making off with three high-end mountain bikes.

The missing machines, all made by Orange, are a medium-sized Four RS in orange, a large-framed Four RS in cyan and a medium Four Pro in yellow (above) and are worth a total of more than £11,000.

Staff at the bike shop released a CCTV image of the suspected burglars and are urging anyone with information to call them on 01709 361919.

"There will be a cash reward for any information that directly leads to the retrieval of these bikes," said a staff member.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment.
