Thief appears in court charged with stealing three cars

AN alleged car thief has been remanded in custody after appearing in court yesterday (Thursday). 

Ashley Godber (34), of James Street, Masbrough, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle, vehicle interference, failing to comply with a drugs test, one public order offence and breach of a criminal behaviour order.

No pleas were entered and Godber was remanded in custody to appear before the same court next Friday (July 21).

The charges relate to alleged offences reported to police in the early hours of Wednesday, July 12 in Handsworth, Sheffield.
