There’s bags of hope thanks to the church

CHURCH leaders have been bringing bags of hope to the vulnerable and elderly during the coronavirus pandemic.

House of Grace, which is based in Bolton on Dearne has become a hub for help, with care packages of hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, toilet rolls, tinned and packet food being made to those in need.

Claire Ashby, from the church, said: “These were items many have been struggling to get hold of, as a small charity we managed to raise some funds and get hold of the items.

“They have gone to elderly, people with long term illness, single parents and others who were unable to get out and about.

“The response has been amazing as people were in shock that we had thought about them, saying: ‘It’s lonely when you have to self isolate’.”
