Terrorist gets chance to tell his story on stage in new play

A PLAY coming to the county will give a notorious terrorist the chance to tell his story.

Bin Laden: The One Man Show will appear at Doncaster’s Cast Theatre on Thursday, October 5, and Barnsley Civic on Friday, October 13.

It comes to the area after a successful American tour and critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The twist in the production by Knaïve Theatre is that Bin Laden is 28 years old, White British and charming.

The play explores why people follow demagogues and asks if the world’s most wanted terrorist might have been more persuasive than previously imagined.

Tickets at Cast cost £10.50 for adults or £9 for concessions. The performance starts at 7.45pm.

Tickets at Barnsley Civic cost £10 for adults or £8 for concessions, and the show begins at 7.30pm.
