Teenager's leg amputated after Swinton collision

A SERIOUS collision which resulted in a teenager having his leg amputated is being investigated by police.

Witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage of the collision in Swinton on Saturday, March 23 are being sought.

A black Audi A4 was travelling from Dun Street onto Bridge Street when it collided with two teenagers at around 2.40am.

"A 19-year-old man from Rotherham suffered serious injuries which resulted in his leg being amputated," said a police spokeswoman.

An 18 year-old man also suffered a broken ankle and other minor injuries.
