Teenager to stand trial for holding up taxi driver at knifepoint

A TEENAGER is due to stand trial for threatening a taxi driver with a knife and attempting to rob him.

Adam Brockhurst (18), of Kingsway, Thurnscoe, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court last Friday in connection with the incident which happened the previous day on Southfield Lane, Thurnscoe.

He is charged with attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article.

The case was sent to Sheffield Crown Court for trial where he will next appear on May 11.

Brockhurst was remanded in custody .
