Teenager charged with child sex offences

AN 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with child sexual offences.

Corie Adams, of Birks Holt Drive, Maltby, appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court yesterday (April 28) charged with grooming and sexual activity with a child.

He denied both offences and was remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on May 26.

The charges, which relate to a 14-year-old girl, are alleged to have taken place in Rotherham between April 1-26.

Anyone with concerns about child sexual exploitation should contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, 0800 555 111 or the national helpline Say Something on 116 000.

Always call 999 in an emergency.
